About 90% of COMMONOreproducts’ products are made in Bishu, Aichi Prefecture. Both weaving and sewing are made there by a small number of craftsmen by hand in small personal workshops.
The low number of experienced craftsmen and the declining interest of younger generations, makes it difficult to pass on those techniques. What we can do in order to preserve not only the skills but the history itself, is to continue creating. Our greatest pleasure is that these products can create a mutual feeling of satisfaction for both the creator and the costumer.
